Find some Christmas Sparkle in London

EnquireBook

There’s nothing quite like London at Christmas time… somehow, our capital seems to change at this time of year and develops a magical and wonderful festive feel.

So, as you might imagine, there are many fabulous things to do and see, to add that bit of extra Christmas sparkle!

London’s Hyde Park ‘Winter Wonderland’ truly is a sight to behold and is open 10am to 10pm everyday, until 6th January 2019.

During a visit, you can get lost in the many wonderful Christmas markets, festive bars and snowy grottos. Plus, 2018 promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with a 45-metre ice slide inside the new Magical Ice Kingdom and Secret Forest; a Bavarian village offering gigantic bratwursts and steins as big as your head; bookable alpine-themed Bar!

If there’s one thing where London stands out from other cities, it’s the amazing Christmas lights and decorations found right across the city.

So, if you just love the lights, then this trio of twinkles is an absolute must – check out Oxford Street, Carnaby Street and, of course, Covent Garden.

If you’d prefer to ‘shop ‘til you drop’, then there’s no better place than London to do that!

London’s luxury shopping destinations provide a bounty of opulent boutiques and an array of trendy and chic designer shops, to make for an unrivalled retail experience.

Whether it’s the famous Bond Street, revered throughout the world for a wealth of elegant stores, or the undeniable allure of King’s Road, Chelsea – a 1 mile stretch of vibrant culture, cafés, bars & restaurants, stunning shops, with it’s heritage firmly planted in the ‘swinging sixties’.

Away from the sublime, to the more mainstream high street, you can find everything you’ll ever need (including some bargains) at Oxford Street and Regent Street.

Another hidden gem, is the Seven Dials area of Covent Garden – so called as 7 connecting streets come together in a convergence of fashion, beauty, lifestyle and dining and who can forget the iconic Carnaby area of London?

Home to 14 streets (including Carnaby Street itself) of independent food and clothing retailers, with a history steeped in tradition for being part of the culturally impactful London music and fashion scene, from the 1960s; the punk revolution of the late 1970s and early 1980s, right up to present day

Finally, for all the ‘techies’ out there, Tottenham Court Road is a great place for all things computer and electronic related.

Looking beyond Christmas, and into 2019, we’ve an exciting new serviced apartment block to tell you about…

Newly refurbished and opened in December 2018, The Moorgate is a collection of elegant suites and one-bedroom apartments, designed to provide a stylish, comfortable London base.

Offering space, flexibility and quality, the uniquely designed apartments combine the best in traditional London architecture, featuring many of the original features such as the fireplaces, floor to ceiling windows (with double glazing) and high ceilings, combined with some really funky contemporary design touches.

The Moorgate Serviced Apartment in London

Ideally located, and surrounded by some of the most iconic buildings in London, The Moorgate is situated in one of the most exciting new areas of the capital – just a stone’s throw from the traditions of The City, but also on the doorstep of the new world of digital commerce, in Old Street and the vibrant street culture of Shoreditch.

Apart from the usual fully equipped kitchens, with washer/dryer and dishwasher, these apartments also have under floor heating, air con (not easy to find in Serviced Apartments in London!), king size beds, smart TVs and front desk.

Please click here to get in touch for more information about The Moorgate – goes without saying that viewing is highly recommended and we expect it to be a very popular choice for 2019.

So, whatever brings you to the capital – whether it’s for some last minute pre-Christmas fun and frolics, hitting the January sales or your work brings you here, we hope we’ve given you some ideas of things to do, places to see and where you can find an ideal base from which to plan your stay.

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
